fast memory cards

I`ve read on a thread about faster memory cards ,is this true and what way could it help bearing in mind i just take portraits and wildlife

Unless you're having trouble with your camera filling its buffer and slowing down then you'll not find any improvement. This might happen if you're shooting fast moving wildlife on continuous drive and shooting loads of frames and finding the camera slows down its frame rate after a few shots.

Thanks for the reply ,it wasn't a problem I was having but being new to dslr I'm looking to keep on top of any potential problems before they happen
