Faster SDHC cards - Any recommendations?

Always been using CF cards so no idea what speeds to look for if needing faster SDHC card? Any buying advice is much appreciated including which dealer to buy from. Many thanks,
 
I use the Sandisk class 10 ones from either amazon direct or my memory.
 
Class 10, but I would look for a UHS-I type. Something with around the 90ish MB/s. I have bought a UHS-II SD card, but failed to realize that there are limited cameras that actually support the UHS-II hardware.
 
Depends what speed you're camera body and how quickly it processes! No point sticking a class 10 in if body only processes and transfers at 25mbs

If you are only doing 1 shot or v short bursts then it won't really matter.

On top of that, the CF card write speeds on fast cards are still way quicker than fast SD cards.

I have noticed over the last few years that SD cards are now headlining read speeds, and the write speed is harder to find - they always used to focus on quoting write speed. Decent sized SD cards will be listed as class 10 even if they are much faster than that.

Looking recently, I could find CF cards that write up to 140MB/s but SD seemed to top out around 80MB/s

I have had good results with all Sandisk Extreme cards. I always stuck with Class 10 or above depending on the age/use of the camera (The cameras I use had at least 16MP so the files were fairly large) The price points are so reasonable now. I have some 90MB/S cards but the only thing i own that that takes advantage anywhere near that speed is my laptop! :-)
 
Thank you all for your recommendations and advice. What do you think of this Lexar - It's nearly half price of Sandisk. Has anyone used this particular card and had good experience? Cheers

Some people really like lexar, others have had bad experiences. I think it depends on the particular card. They do some very very fast cards.

I had the 64gb version of that card and it failed, reports on the internet suggest this is common (don't know if that applies to the 32gb version).

After that fail I bought some transcend 64gb 90mbs cards which have a write speed of around 60mbs which is faster than my camera can write. They are cheap, fast, feel solid (Lexar one did not) and have a lifetime warranty. I now own three of them and will buy more should I need more SD cards.
