Faulty 5D mk2 Input dial?

Hi has any one ever had an issue with the input dial next to the shutter button not working intermitently? Every now and again on my 5d2 it refuses to change aperture whilst turning the wheel, after a while it works again, I was wondering if there is a known issue with the switch contacts needing cleaning/having a life span.

mine dose it sometimes if the grip controls are active - switching the controls off sorts the issue.

Thats an interesting one, hadnt thought of that, will give it a go.
