Hi there, i was wondering if anyone knew how much it would be to get a faulty lens motor sorted and someone who could do it other than canon themselves. The lens is a canon 70-200 2.8L. Manual Focus working perfect, local camera shop thinks its the motor and wont commit to a price to sort it, without sending it off and they want £150 upfront. Any info at all would be great.

Phone Canon @ Elstree and see what they suggest, it may well come under one of their fixed price repairs.
Also if the camera shop want £150 before sending it off - they're obviously not repairing it and so you may well be paying some more for their service / time to do this...
