FD L glass on EOS

I have been offered a FD 100-300 F5.6 L glass and i wonder if these will give good results useing a AF confirm adaptor, or will i be wasteing my money?
I suspect it will be an improvement on my current lens.

I don't recall the FD 100-300 5.6 being anything special, and it will certainly be a faff to use compared to a full AF lens.

If you use a glassless adapter then you won't be able to focus to infinity. This may be okay if you want to shoot garden birds but will pose problems if the subjects are further away.
Going for an adapter with glass and you'll lose the benefit of the L quality optics in the lens but will be able to use the full range.
