FD lens adapter

Hi all,

Recently bought a Canon AE-1 which includes a lens, a Vivitar f2.8 / 28mm Wide angle

I was told that these Canon slr's have a different kind of lens attacher, something called FD? And apparently my existing camera (and all of its lenses) are a different type something called 'screwed', I don't know much about the details as you can probably tell ha, I was wondering if theres some sort of adapter I can buy? The camera and its lenses I have at the moment is a Praktica BMS, the lens is also made by Praktica

Much appreciated if anyone can point me in the direction of an adapter that will allow me to use my Praktica lens on this Canon AE1, cheaper the better

as for the adapter, this might be a silly question but does it matter if its "m42 to fd", can i just turn it around and it will still connect to both lenses? I can't seem to find any that are titled "fd to m42"
