Did you write this yourself or use some kind of template/package? It gives me the impression its a template... Not trying to be rude there, just that it doesnt seem to be very interesting. FWIW I think that all websites ( Not just yours ) that dont make use of the full area of the screen are missing out on a great opportunity... Its a wide screen, Why not use that space? I,m no great shakes at this by the way and my site is just a lightroom gallery but You are welcome to have a look. ( davidsolo.com)

It is very slow to load here!

I'm not a fan of flash, in fact I have Flashblock running in FF so I don't see any ads, unfortunately that means I don't see your images until I click the arrow. Fairly slow to load, by that I mean the thumbnails are taking about a second each to appear

No it's not a template, just my very basic html to blame I'm afraid. Need to jazz it up a bit but not feeling creative at the moment.

Agree with your comments on flash, will look into a php version which should help with the load times of the thumbnails at least.

It's not clear to me from your website what it is that you want to achieve from it. Do you want to sell travel images? Get bookings for studio work? Get into automotive photography? Or is it just a place for you to keep your pictures for family and friends to look at?

I can't really give much feedback until I know what the intention is for the site. :)

As a general point, for a photo website the main point is the pictures, so make them as large as possible!

banner is bland and boring.
add some colour, search the web for some inspiration.

no intro text on the front page... engage with your audience, tell them who you are and what the site is for... tease them with an image with the option to click further to see more.

the contact form is another bit thats a bit boring... you need to talk to your users a bit more in this site i feel.

for inspiration if i was you, go on about 100 websites that you like... print off a screen grab of every site that inspires you and look at them for a while and start to scribble some ideas down.

Site is just a place to store pictures to share with friends and family really, no real purpose.

Thanks for all the feedback, will take it all aboard.
