I know just what you all mean about 1 and 4 (thats a Coots nest its standing on in no1 - the coot wasn't at all happy about it either :LOL: ), but 2 is my fave just for the expression the fish has

BTW, does anyone know what fish they are?

Number four is my favourite of them. Tack sharp with nice blurred background.

How close were you to get these?

I guess it was 15+ meters when I spotted him on the coots nest, and maybe 5-10 meters for the others. I still can't believe how close he let me get, he really wasn't at all bothered by me at all - I must have been with him for half an hour or more, during which time he took 6 or 7 fish

Very nice set of shots for such a timid bird. I agree with Martyn, the fish is a Perch
 
Thanks for the comments everyone. Picked up a new lens today, so I might just have to go back for another go this week :D
