after having my canon 1000d for going on 2 years now, i had planned to go shopping and return home with a canon 600d, but whilst looking around i persuaded myself to purchase the canon 650d instead...

its got soo much more capabilities than the canon 1000d, im going to be here until christmas trying to master each function

that just rejuvenated feeling as though you were a kid has just rehit me again and rekickstarted my passion for photography all over again

ive already got some zoomy lenses (efs) which i can still use from the 1000d, just gotta try and decide on what order to get some proper glass.... i chop and change the lenses around alot as it is, so wouldnt know where to begin without the zoom ability- i want the quality though so will have to sacrifice zoom oneday....

I'm sure you'll be very happy with the 650D. I bought one for the wife when they were first released and she loves it. I had planned on using it myself for videos so I got the 40mm STM lens to go with it. I might get a chance to use it some day in the future, but she wont let the camera out of her hands at the minute. I've used the 40STM on my 5D3 and 60D and it's very good, but compared to it on the 650D it's certainly lacking. I even said she could use my 60D and 70-200 2.8 MkII while I used the 650D for a bit and she said no.
