Feisol tripod

Looking to purchase a carbon fibre tripod to support a canon 500mm F4.
Will fit lens master gimbal head to flat plate.

Any experience out there of the Feisol tournament series which seem very competitive v gitzo equivalent,

I've got the CT-3472 and it is a very stable piece of kit with very large diameter legs. I have used it with the D3s and 300mm f2.8 with no issues. Haven't used a Gitzo so can't compare but I would see no reason for me to pay more for something else.

Also take a look at the Horusbennu range. They are very similar to Feisol and no doubt are made in the same factory.

Ebay seems to be the best bet for these.
