Played around with this in CS3. New to editing:bonk:I feel the pic. can be improved with the right know how. Feel free:)

suggest a slight rotate to stop the water running out!
 
I think you have overused the shadow/highlight tool as the contrast range is limited. Also at this size there are a lot of noisy artefacts.

The only way I could go with this image was to convert it to black & white. Still noisy but a suggested route to follow:
