By special request by AshMashMash, here are some shots of Ferrofluid being dropped into a magnetised pool of fluid.
The magnetic force deforms the droplet as it gets close.
Not quite as spectacular as water or milk, with the magnetism limiting the splash.
The occasional drop does escape though (and makes an awful mess of your workspace!)
Not the best of droplet shots but interesting. I'm sure someone with more photographic ability can do better!
