FF equiv for Tokina 11-16

I've just gone FF with a lovely old 5D Classic, which means I have to give up my beautiful Tokina 11-16 which I just love. What would the FF equivalent be for this, not so much in terms of focal length (well that would be around 7 to 10, d'uh!) but in terms of feel, IQ, speed, and importantly to me, price.

You would be looking for an 17/18-25mm if you want a FF equivalent, not 7-10


EDIT: You could pick up a 17-40L second hand for about 450~, slightly more than the Tokina but then again FF lenses are more expensive.

There's always the Canon 17-40mm but I bought a used 20-35mm USM and I'm happy with it on a film body.
