File Association for RAW file refuses to be associated

Have just updated Silkypix, but Windows is refusing to accept it as an association for my Raw files.

It associates fine with the old version, but as soon as you open with the new one, it just goes straight back to the choose program dialog.

I've also tried with the command prompt to associate it manually, and it's still not having it, just brings up the open with dialog box which doesn;t work!

Tried in the registry too but that failed too, said there was no association for the file type :bang:

Any other suggestions? I'm thinking of reinstalling the old version, then over writing the contents of it's folder with the new version as the application still has the same file name, that at least then may trick it into opening a file...

have you tried right click "open with" then tick the "always open with.." box?

Doesnt work, as soon as you select the program it goes back to the dialog box but hasn't selected the prgram you just chose, it's as if you've pressed cancel instead of open.

Can you open the software first to see what happens if you then manually open a file?

The software opens the files no problem, but I can't get windows to open them from Explorer, which is pretty damn inconvenient!
