File for printing question

If I want a poster print done from a jpeg straight from my camera,Do I leave it as shot or can I work on the file and get it printed as the file I have enhanced? I have no idea I'm afraid.

You can 'work on the file' as much as you like and then have it printed.

If you want the print straight from the camera there is no need to do anything to the image at all....only if you want to edit the image would you need to do anything...otherwise if you like the way it looks then print it as it is!

You might want to crop to size and sharpen/remove noise if everything thing else is ok

Thanks for the replies, I was under the impression that Labs equipment would 'optimize' the file,Thereby possibly altering the way one might want the image to look,I would not be printing my own pics.

Talk to your printer. They will tell you how best to set up your files to get the results you want from their machines.
