Thanks

Oh and I don't know but never had a problem when I owned one.

Jesus Christ can't I ask a simple question!
Yes you can but explaining your reason without being hostile would be a better approach.
The transfer rate would depend more on the limits of your card and the USB link to your pc than the camera I think.
Thanks, but I mean the transfer from the camera buffer to the card.
Erm... Because I want to know as I like to be knowledgable about my kit and cameras, what's the ****ing problem in that?

Pointless reply mate.
Also there are other reasons why...
1. If the rate is 30mb/s there is no point me buying a 90mb/s pro card and expecting to get faster rate.....saving me money.
2. If I know the camera transfer rate I can judge how long it will take for a burst for 14 raw picture to transfer to the card allowing my buffer to be free for any more shots, which could result in a higher transfer rated card to reduce the time, depending what the camera rate would be.

Have you bought the 50D now then?
DP review have decent specs: http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/specs/Canon/canon_eos550d.asp
Well if you were that bothered just go on the Canon site and look at the spec's then you would have known, and as for being agressive you really need to get a handle on that it tends to shorten your life.... high blood pressure, stress, strokes, heart attacks....lol the list is endless.
