Filenames

I currently only have 2GB cards (hoping to buy some 4GB's soon) and when i upload onto the computer, each card has the same file names.

Whats the best way to change filenames so they are different on each card?

At the moment, i'm having to copy over to the 'puter and then put all the files from the card into different folders i.e. card #1 goes into folder 'set1' card #2 goes into folder 'set2'.

long term fix = turn on continuous file naming in your camera settings.

otherwise i think faststone do a batch file renamer?

The solution is exactly what Neil said - change your camera settings so that the file numbering is continuous for the camera, rather than the card - for example that way card one has files 1 to 300 then card two starts again at 301 rather than 1

I just do a batch renaming in Lightroom.
