Last night, while the wife was researching her family tree,
I was left with the telly. Whilst channel hopping I came across this.http://www.price-drop.tv/ProductDescriptionPage.aspx?Id=2077995&Cat=6&Sub=12&Type=Categories For a small hand held scanner that will scan and digitise slides and negs, and produces 5mg images. Seems like a handy piece of kit, if you have a lot of slides or negs to convert.

I used to have a a Canon FS2710 slide and negative scanner. A patch was needed to enable use on Vista but these must be very cheap on Ebay now.

word of warning, i would check out a test of cheap scanners and the quality of cheap scanners can be poor, it may well not be in this case but you never know

depends how big you want to make prints. The link you provided is broken, but it sounds like one of these, which is only really good for prints of upto 7x5 apparently.

Would be interested to know other peoples thoughts on neg scanners as i'm on the lookout for one too!
