Filter added to my 500d

Got 2 filters, a UV and a CPL filter to add to the kit lens

However they feel very "loose" on the camera. Is that normal? New to DSLR photography so not sure if this is what filters are like. Its 58mm fitting on lens and 58mm filter

Can you turn them tighter anymore? Are they extremely easy to unscrew even after you've tightened them up?

The CPL will feel "loose" as it needs to turn when attached - that's the way are designed (so you can turn them until the effect you want is acheived)

With the UV, when you say loose, do you mean you can rotate it, or it's loose in some other way?

I never did the UV up tight enough! Oops

I never fully tighten mine as they can stick and be very difficult to get off, especially polarisers as there is little to get hold off.

Haha, problem solved.

As Oggy has said, don't over tighten, they can be a pig at the best of times to get off.
