Filter Kits

Never used a filter or a kit in my life so before jumping in spending a huge amount in them I was wondering about these cheapo ones on eBay.

Are they really as cr*p as you'd expect for £14 quid or acceptable as a starting point for an odd bit of landscaping?

I bought a cheap amazon set, it was a nightmare to use and it's probably put me off using filters for good. I imagine the mid / high end sets aren't as bad to use.

It depends on the rest of your kit really, if you've got nice good quality lenses you don't really want to be putting bad glass in front of it.

Maybe start off with something like the Cokin kit if you have basic gear.

If you are using decent gear then just get the Lee filter system to start with as you'll only upgrade to it later anyway

What is you're kit you're looking at adding it to?

Plenty of price and quality!

But its usual you get what you pay for!
