Filter question

Hi all

Ive brought some Cokin filters and a holder and some different size rings to hold the holder (Hope that makes sense )

They are P series filters, my question is, on the back of the filter boxes it says " "up to 82mm" is this the size of the actual filter that will fit in the Cokin holder??

The reason for asking is that Hitech are selling some nice filters but their sizes start at 85mm, does this mean that they will not fit in the Cokin filter holder??

hi tec's fit into a plastic cokin holder. There is a little bit of give in the holder. It's a tight squeeze, but they will fit.

Hi Neil thanks for that, would you recommend doing it or should I buy the Hi Tech holder and be done with it??

Hi Tony,

IIRC, the 82mm figure refers to the maximum lens diameter that can be used without the holder/edge of the filter being seen in the picture.
