Filter size 4x4 or 4x6 advice please

So I have my holder and all the rings I require, the question is what filter size to choose.

I will be buying Hitech, but what advantage if any does a 4x6 have over the 4x4 filters. The price difference is sufficient for me to inquire about this.

If you are using graduated filters the 4x6 allows scope for moving the filter up & down in the holder to change the graduation point.

If they are not grads I can't see any benefit of 4x6 over 4x4
