Anybody help,

If I use a Polarising Filter can I leave the Hood off.

If its a circular polariser Richard, I find it easier to use with the hood off. Polariser plus hood may also cause vignetting too. Best to try a few options to see how you get on. Iain

Sorry not mention that it was Circular.

Bought today for a Canon 17-85 lens will tryout in both scenarious.

I use mine with hood but...don't think I have a problem apart form the obvious of trying to rotate the filter
