Filters 2-10 stop Question

A friend showed me a filter the other day. It does 2 to 10 stop by rotating the filter. I quite like the idea of having a single filter rather than several.

Are these filters any good ? If so could someone recommend a make for my sigma 10-20 on a canon d500. I also aim to purchase a sigma 17-70 pretty soon and would like to be able to buy an adapter to use the same filter.

Not just the skies - everything will go wierd. These things really are pretty useless on an UWA because banding appears once it gets past 2 or 3 stops. The banding is totally unconnected to the banding one sometimes gets in the sky with a CPL on an ultrawide. Here's a comparison.

Thanks for the advice guys, much appreciated. The effects I want really come at the 10 stop end of things. So could you recommend a decent 10 stop filter (Or similar) for wide angle landscapes. Again im thinking sigma 10-20 or sigma 17-70.

I really liked my B&W 10-stopper, until I dropped it on a stony beach :-( I replaced it with a Heliopan - slightly cheaper but just as good. It lets in a bit more IR, so automatic metering is even more of a no-go than with others.
