Filters and wide lens queery

Been looking at square filter systems recently, mainly landscape so graduated nd etc.

It would appear suitable for usually from around the low 20mm in 35mm terms

So my question is if I put a 10-18mm 77mm thread on a APS-C sensor am I right in thinking the effect would vignetting?
If right would a wide angle holder counteract vignetting?
 
IIRC there's a low profile Lee adaptor for use on UWA lenses and that should reduce the chances of vignetting. OR, as a budget alternative, hacksaw all but the rear (full thickness rather than the narrow polariser!) slot off a Cokin or similar holder.

Not tried the 10-18mm but would imagine that you will need the 100mm filters if you want to use more than one at a time, which does increase the cost considerably. Most of the 100mm holders though do have the option to remove extra slots as they are mounted on screws.
All depends on how much you want to spend?
 
Yeah, I spotted an ad in next week's AP where the WA holder is £6.99. (premier-ink.co.uk)
 
Is the lens a full frame one? If so you may not see vignetting on an APS-C sensor since the image circle is much larger.

thought 100mm might help avoid vignetting, cost had not really decided

can you use lee filters with a cokin holder and vice versa?

no idea about which type of lens would cause issues, the lens I would use 18-135 efs so crop lens, the one which i think I may have issues with is the 10-18 efs which is a crop lens
