Firstly I will apologise if this subject has been repeated before by others. I tried the search but it didn't throw up any obvious answers.

As the title suggests I am looking for a filter system for the lens I have just bought. I currently have a cokin-p system for my kit lens. I have seen (can not remember where though) a wide angle holder? I have also been told that a) there is no suitable filters for this lens or b) I need to use Lee filters.

Could any of you help a very confused and mind boggled member please.

I have tried various combinations of filters and holders with a Canon 10-22 and 50d, and to be honest, the only combination that avoided vignetting at 10/11mm, was using Lee with a wide angle adaptor ring.
A much cheaper route is to not use any holder and attach the filters with blue tac, but obviously you run the risk of them falling.

Thanks for your response. I was hoping there was a more affordable (to me) solution than the Lee kit but I had better start scraping the money together.

There is indeed a slim, wide-angle filter holder from Cokin. I got this when I had my 10-22, and paired it up with Hi-Tech filters.

100mm from various companies shouldn't give you an problems with vignetting but there a lot of money. Shooting with p-series above 12mm shouldn't be tom much of a problem either. Correcting Vignetting is post takes 2 seconds i would save your money and stick with the p-series but get a wideangle adapter. I use srb-griturns own bland p adapters and filters there great.
