Filters - UV or not UV? by Bob Atkins (c)

cheers, been meaning to look up some stuff about uv filters.

it's a minefield of advice out there...:LOL::LOL:

i read the UV tests ............"here"

and the CP-L tests..."here"

I decided on a 72mm Marumi DHG CP-L for my 17-70mm Sigma f2.8
well pleased with Quality, and so bought a Marumi "Protector" as well, as the front glass is exposed

others use Hoya HD - excellent quality [I have a 52mm HD Protector] but couldn't afford a 72mm one..!

on the other hand, others use Hoya Pro-1 D UV

......all down to budget ..?.............good luck .....(y)
