Hi guys and girls wounderd if you could help me?. I have a Samsung nx200 with a 20-50mm lens and a 16 f/2.4 what filters do I need for these?. I'm a total newbie and off to Asia for 6 months travelling and would like to get some good pictures. Do the filters screw into the lens or do you need an adaptor??

Many thanks

What you need depends on what you want to achieve results wise so it is hard to advise.

Filters will eith come in the screw in variety or the square/rectangular variety both have their advantages. Screw is are much more discreet and portable but you will get better flexibility and results from a slot in system.

Final advice I never leave the house with my camera without a cpl

With the 20-50mm you'll need a 40.5mm filter thread (Some Olympus, Leica and Sony lenses use this filter, so it's not that uncommon) and the 16mm f2.4 needs a 43mm filter thread.

Annoyingly only 2 of Samsungs 11 lenses have the same thread size, so i'd think about buying something called a step-up ring, for example I'd buy a 40.5mm to 43mm step up ring, so you don't have to buy a new filter or filter adapter for each lens you own.
