Im a newbie lol, so forgive me for the question.

I was just wondering if filters can be attached to bridge cameras?

Some yes, some no. What camera have you got?

Filters are generally made for DSLRs, with appropriate fittings. But they'll work fine on anything, proved you can find a way to attach them.

Many compacts/bridge cameras will be okay, others you can get adapters for, some you can't.

I use filters on my Fujifilm s9600 as it has a 58mm thread on the lens - same as the canon kit lenses. Step up and down threads are available making the filter world your lobster.

Just make sure the bridge camera you get has a threaded lens.
