The iPad already has an IPS screen, I guess the higher res of this one may look better though, any news of how much is it going to cost?

Seriously, if it has 3G and comes in far enough below the £500 mark it will be a winner. I'm intrigued by the socket on the bottom, it looks very like a pdmi or iFad.

And less powerful. Glad I'm not the only one thinking it's a laptop in all but name

TBH, I have a tablet here (Advent Vega) but hardly ever use it. I can see their use for commuting, and the odd browse whilst sat in front of the TV, but if I want to do anything beyond looking up something related to the program I'm watching, I'm away using a keyboard. I would probably say that my home is not the norm when it comes to computers though

Just recently bought a wireless keyboard and can now run a web browser on the TV (the xbmc machine running chromium) too. Great if we're both trying to look at stuff together...

Sure it will find a market for some, but not for most. A lot of devices like this will only find a very small market and a lot of them will not last past their first incarnation.
