The review I read said for the most part it runs faster than Safari, it just needs its text display and zooming in adjusted.

You mean they actually allowed it into the app store now? Previously you could only get Opera by jailbreaking, as Apple didn't like the idea of someone threatening their Safari browser.

Probably got wind of a potential DoJ filing in the same vein as MS got with IE due to the rabid popularity of the iPhone

I've been playing, and as far as I can see, the only real plus point is the ability to 'long click' to open a link in a new tab etc. That's useful! I'd imagine it's even better for people who use Opera on their main computers.
I was also pretty surprised Apple let it into the app store!
