Long story short, finally got my 2 Dell U2311H screens! After having the wrong screens been shipped out, returned those and no more in stock i had to wait for the refund and then find another supplier. :bang:

Out fo the box they look great haven't got them setup properly or calibrated as they arrived 20 mins before i was due to leave the house. Just checked for dead pixels and made sure they had no defects.

When i get in tonight i will have a proper play and may upload a pic or 2!

anyone know of a good place for dual screen backgrounds/Wallpapers

Didn't know you could get dual screen backgrounds, but suppose wouldn't be no use for me as mine are at different resolutions

Hmm interesting!
I too have just ordered my first ever Dell display. Look forward to receiving it :D

if you want to run different images on each screen (i.e. split wallpapers) i can recommend DisplayFusion, its freeeeeeee.

yup using that software, great bit of kit.

and a little pic to show them off!

thanks, i need to actually remove the whole lot! the room needs some minor cosmetic repairs and the whole room is in need of a repaint which will take some time!

Looks very nice! Looks like you have tidied up for the picture though?? :D

How are you finding the screens? They look spot on! My new and first ever Dell monitor should be here tomorrow :D

I try and keep it clean and tidy, but its some times gets a mess! the hardest part which i am still sorting out is the bloody cabling! (note to self: dont get a clear glass desk again). Am thinking of adding a frosting to the glass to help with that. It was tidied somewhat to make way for the monitors. (will have to dig out some pics of previous setups)

Did my first bit of editing on them, had to upgrade the calibrator to work on both monitors but once they are set up its sweet. the monitors were a little warm out the box, not by much. I had to go for IPS monitors as the angle the monitors are set at means they shift a bit from screen to screen on a normal TN monitor. Also it means i can slouch without a colour shift too :)

they are just the right size for me, maybe would have preferred a 16:10 ratio but these are fine. The hardest thing is deciding on a screen background to compliment the setup.
