I'm so happy I could burst! Why won't it charge faster!

Also off the cuff does anyone know if there is an LCD protector for this, it appears to have clips for it but I could not find it on my system today :thinking:

You simply don't need one on any of the D3 bodies - D3/D3s/D3x
 
Mine gets quite a battering, (after the honeymoon period wore off) and it still looks like new. I was told it's extra tuff, which was probably sales talk, but I've not scratched it yet.
Enjoy it, it is awesome :thumbs:

I've had a D3 since it launched but earlier this year had to buy a D300s as an emergency backup and I'm really disappointed with it in comparison. My D2X still gets more use than the D300s!

Hopefully will PX it for a D3s at some point in 2011 :cool:
 
The Hoodman lcd cover is well worth it.
The screen is meant to be extra tough on the D3 family but bung a Hoodman on it and you just don't have to even worry about it.

Exactly right - I have those on all of mine, even though it's been proven that you don't need them any more.
(my last two issued D3 bodies spent twelve months in Afghanistan with barely any marks on the screens even though most of the paint was totally rubbed off...)

Me and my naked camera had to shoot tonight for real for the first time, I must say the ISO handling is beyond anything I have ever used :thumbs:

Ive just bought a D700, and although a great camera, I really wanted a D3s as I really wanted to play with the video. :(

I'd love to, but I have to have a back up, once I can afford two D3s's give me a call! :nuts:

I like the idea of having two full frames but it's heavy enough carrying the 300s without the grip! :eek: But that said if I had to work fast in good light The D300s handles the 70-200 really well and the 24-70 on the D3s means no nasty dust in change overs. Already chasing dust around my D3s sensor... :thumbsdown:

I think the video on the D3s is much better than on the D300s, odd as I'm led to believe it's the same innards :thinking: it must just be the sensor that makes all the difference :shrug:
