No questions for now just happy it made it whole.

As somebody had told me 2 weeks ago when I 1st started in here. The jump from compact to dslr is huge. Even with the standard lens there are miles apart between the 2.

And the speed it autofocus I belive beats the 400d i had used of a friend of mine.

All u pros with pro cameras bare with me. my 1st step to take real pics.


On a con side its damn heavy

Enjoy you new purchase.
Oh and compared to a lot of bodies, it's light so be prepared for some muscle buidling when you upgrade it :)
 
Wait till you get a 200mm+ lens on it, then you know what heavy is... :gag:

don't worry about all that 'pro' stuff, just enjoy taking pictures. pro cameras aren't that different from xxxd's just have a couple of extra bells and whistles.

i borrowed a 450d a few weeks back though, and my first thought was how floaty light it was!
 
Once you use it for a while you will get used to the weight! Compared to some other DSLR systems its actually one of the lightest!

I have not long got my 500D and added the 55-250 and 50mm.

Yeah; my old 450D was so light and floaty I used to keep it on the ceiling :lol:
