I am in Pinner and give me a shout anytime if you want to hook up.
I do the occasional portrait but am into anything actually. I enjoy outdoor photography, wildlife, macro and would like to get into events and weddings and build a bit more experience.
I have a friend at present who organises events around London, central mainly, and have been pestering me to take shots of the occasions as he has bands and professional entertainers/disco clubs etc stuff, and would like a photographer to be present at such events to take shots around and people etc but I have been hesitating in doing so.
My reasons are two: First I do not have much experience with night photography/flash etc as its indoors. Secondly I almost certain there won't be any fix fee so I would be going in the evening and taking shots and I suspect he expects me to make money from the prints that we would be selling afterwards. But I wouldn't mind giving it a try and checking how it would turn out, heck might even be quite profitable. These are african events and lots of people participate and he told me that there would be lots of people actually keen on buying prints. My only problem is lack of experience and I wouldn't want to ruining the shots and consequently ruining the reputation that I have already built for the other small aspects that I have been doing for the small community.

So if its something you are interested or for that matter anybody else reading this then drop me a line.

Cambridge is actually very good for photos, especially at night when all the old buildings are lit up. Not too sure what's up Peterborough way but if you find yourself travelling south at all I don't mind meeting up and strolling around to get some practice in :)
 
Na theres not a lot in peterborough, ferry meadows is ok for lakes, plants and bugs/birds. Ok thanks very much i'll keep that in mind. I was told that Cambridge is a very nice town to photograph but haven't got down there yet. Thank you
