Ok I just entered the oldest car reg I can remember of my dads and it shows the model etc but I really cant imagine that car is still active!

the rac only shows make and model as a confirmation, put in my old Mondeo that was written off and it shows up.

Iirc you can/could do this through ebay motors, just don't finalise listing.
