What a fantastic set of shots. Some absolute crackers, well done :)

Some great shots there! Also reiterate what Carlh said, was this some sort of exercise you went along to?

I'm going to go against the grain slightly and say #1 is my fave by far

Love the 2 very distinct sides of the shot, water vs fire, and the blue lights really add to the effect

Thanks everyone, as before I appreciate the kind words.

The blue, as already hinted at by someone else, is the light from the truck itself. It's parked out of the way so I used a longer lens and came round the back of the sim. This meant the guys were back-lit by the truck, and the long lens compressed everything to keep the frame interesting. In the last shot specifically (shot on a standard lens), the truck is behind me and the lights are reflecting off the jackets of other members of the team.

This wasn't an exercise as such. I'm a military photographer (RAF), and this is part of routine training the fire crews go through on a very regular basis. This particular sim was replicating a series of aircraft fires, and as it was for the night shift the training was conducted in complete darkness.

Thanks again (y)
