Firefox v9.01

Just been offered an update from v8.0 to v9.01.

Anyone tried v9.01 yet and found any problems/bugs ?

Downloaded it myself last night on both PC and Mac, seems fine upto yet. AVG safe search toolbar isn't compatible yet though.

Ive updated earlier today alls well so far

I'll be amazed if FF every sort out memory issues. I think I've had one version ever that didn't just grow and grow mysteriously! They always say it is plugins but I had the same issues when I didn't use any plugins at all.

I wish.. It's the gift that keeps on giving for system resources.. :-/

Unfortunately, reducing memory usage is generally fundamental to the software architecture. Trust me - I've done enough memory optimisations to complex embedded systems to know it can be a right pain

Yeah but to just leak memory while it's sat there doing nothing ain't right

I wouldn't classify that as "reducing memory usage", I'd class that as "fix showstopper bug" (the systems I work on have limited memory and no swap space - anyway, that's day job talk - and I'm on holiday until Tuesday ).

fav icons probably wont show in the bookmarks drop down menu again, I went to 9 about a week or so ago, then back to 8 over the issue. It's a tiny problem but one I can't put up with.
