How do I clear history in Firefox

Didn't know FF held a history I thought that was one of the big differences from IE. I'm a techno biff th0 so most likely wrong.

History is listed in the toolbar top left on the screen, when I click on it, it lists all the websites and pages I have visited.

Use Ctrl+H just like in IE. It puts a second pane up on the left hand side showing dates and site visited. You can clear one by one or the whole lot in one go, by selecting and then deleting as normal
