Captured this last week while at work in Middlesbrough, the building opposite went up in flames (it had been derelict for some time). Its seriously scary how fast this place went up - took about 10 minutes for the fire to fully take hold.

Quickly on the scene were these guys - serious respect for what they do (I doubt I could do it).

They fought this fire for about 4 hours and it was still smouldering the following day when the site was demolished.

Nice captures, I know a few firemen (worked at world firefighters games) and this type of fire is known as a "carpark" as in that is what the space will be used as next.

Hope the local Rag made use of them - fire near my surgery reminded me of Hunt or Stop the Pidgeon!

it's not that thing where they bought them houses for a telly prog is it to show how easy it can happen?
