Firing flash from manual camera

I have a couple of Nissin flashes (i700a and i60a) together with the Air Commander which I use with my Olympus outfit. I also have a Mamiya RB67 which I am getting back into using. The Mamiya has a PC sync socket but does not have a hot shoe. If I was to get a hot shoe adaptor with PC socket, could I use these flashes (in manual mode) by connecting the Air Commander to the RB67 using the hot shoe adaptor and a PC cord? If not I will get a couple of S/H manual flashes to use with it.

I’m not familiar with the Nissin remote or flashes.
But if they can be set to Manual mode, no reason why they wouldn’t work.

Thanks Phil, worth the cost of an adaptor to try it!

I've done it as you describe with a Bronica and a Yongou trigger, it worked OK.

Thanks Sirch - will give it a go.

That's one of the beauties with the godox X1 trigger. It has the pc socket as well as a centerpin triggering mode

Have you tried it for "input"? I'd be interested to know. My Yongnou trigger has a PC socket but it seems to be "output" only, i.e. a cable from the trigger to a flash will work but a cable from the camera to the trigger will not fire the trigger.

Yes it works through cable from camera to trigger. Done with RZ67PROII, Yashica 124G and with 150mm leafshutter lens for my LF
