First attemps at off camera flash

Here my first attempts at some shots of fruit with a canon 550d, The grapes was taken using the kit lens and the apple is using a Tamron 70-300mm f4-5.6 Di LD Macro Lens, cant afford a proper macro lens just yet, so peeps what do you think, all feedback welcome good and bad

Just above your image in flickr there is a little downward arrow to the right of where it says actions.

Where it says "Grab the HTML/BBCode" click on this and copy the code, you can then paste it into yours posts. Think you might also have to have the BBCode radio button selected.

Hope that makes sense.

Nice images by the way, having the light from a different angle really gives a nice effect to a standard subject.

I like these, but for me I think these would have benefited from a little more light hitting the subjects from behind.

#2 is better imho

I too prefer the 2nd image- maybe needs a tad more light- but still a cracking shot in my book
