Very nice shot of a Painted Lady, Robert 
- lovely clean background, nice bokeh and good depth of field.
- one suggestion would be to position the butterfly lower in the frame by cropping to remove some of the oof flower head, and maybe try a square crop to reduce a little dead space.

That's a great first attempt! Love the clean background and the dof is pretty perfect to get the far wing and eye both in focus. I agree with Russ that moving the butterfly down gives it a better position, but I'd definitely leave all the room you've got on the right, maybe losing a little from the left.
