First attempt at a star trail.

Nice foreground for sure.

Not sure what's happened to the star trail. Looks like many shorter exposures, tho' some have continued as one trail.

BUT focus is out, those star trails should be thin...................

But what the heck, you have started the show, just needs a bit of fine tuning now :police::police::police::police:

Well done and thanks for sharing

Ah , yes I had the focus all the way round to beyond infinity , not actually on infinity on the lens.
And the people milling around with their phone torches didn't help .
Also I didn't post process all the images to the same settings in LR.
Gonna have another crack when we get some clear sky !

Interesting.

What lens did you use?

I ask as the top stars are convex trails and bottom ones are concave (just).

If you aim towards the celestial equator (Orions belt is on it, which it looks like in this photo are the three trails going in to the top left of the tower) the trails above and below it will bend like this as they are rotating around the Northern and Southern poles. It has nothing to do with the lens

Thanks for that. Just thought we were too far north to see that effect..:)
