First attempt at anything macro

Just got home from a day out and found a £1.68 macro reverse ring lying for me in the post pile. A little cheap purchase I'd made to see if I'd enjoy macro photography as I'd never done it before. Had to use it straight away even if I should be in bed really!

Bearing in mind this is a first attempt with it (C&C welcome), what do you think? What could I have done better? Are there any good tutorials on macro someone could link me to? Thanks

Good first attempt Haz.

Perhaps consider using flash (doesn't have to be a hugely expensive macro flash) and I am sure you will be happier with the results.

You will improve every shot you take from here on out :)
