Good evening all,
Been waiting to try this for some time and last night as the skies were clear and the moon had almost fully waned I trekked out to a dark sky spot in the Peak District near Sheffield. Shot using my Nikon D5100 and a Nikkor 35mm F1.8 lens. Happy with the results but definitely want to look into acquiring a wider angle lens such as a 14mm to do some landscapes plus sky shots.

. Ive been considering heading over to the dark sky areas in the peaks but not quite made it there yet haha. I would definitely recommend a wide angle for this sort of work to try and capture as much of the MW as well as some foreground interest. I previously had a Tokina 11-16mm f2.8 which was great for this sort of work
