first attempt at long exposure water fall

First off its a decent 1st attempt.
The problems you have here is you wanted to shoot the water but you have got far too much of everything else in the picture also.
It does not look deep so why not get into the water with the tripod and set it up and only concentrate on the fastest flowing water. (Right hand side) also try and fill the frame with that section of the water.

I would agree the green around the outside is a waste really. If you zoomed further in the waterfall picture would be better. Really nice first attempt. I really like these. Did you get any longer exposures too? Which ND did you use.
Yeah I See what your saying, I did get some more close up ones, i'll post them up when I've processed them. I did get into the water as well but was tricky as it was a sheer drop just past the foreground of about 4 foot (another water fall).
I didn't use any ND for it, just the plain lens, hence I wasn't really able to get any much longer exposures without it looking over exposed.
