First Attempt at Motorsport, West Cork last weekend

A few of the many shots i took at the weekend, some in very poor light, and me with no flash..

Stage 5 on Saturday afternoon.

Stage 17 on Sunday (light Fading fast!!)

Any comments or suggestions appreciated.

All taken with my 400D + EFS 17-85

#2 and #3 for me, followed closely by 4. Good job for your first time out

Looks fine from here. I like the different take you've managed on the dark blue escort (5 and 6) - 5 has the edge and maybe a slight crop to lose the people on the LHS would improve it a lot.

You've done well to get the cars reasonably sharp, yet a bit of motion blur in the wheels. That's the aim of most motorsport photographs and it seems to have worked well in this set.

Thanks very much, although I must say that there are quite a few throwaway ones to the seven posted here I was using around 1/125 to 1/160, I tried going super slow (around 1/30 1/40) on a slow chicane, but I just couldn't follow the cars accurately enough...

you didnt fall into the beginners trap of using too fast shutter speed, so well done
