hi i have taken my first lot of photo's on my new canon 40D, with EF100, f/2.8 lens.

i have no idea what other photographers would think of them. if you have time please visit one or more of the links below to view some of my photo's. any comments will be taken on board with thanks.

first 3 are of a greenwinged macaw (ruby)

1st and 2nd Mccaw shots are ok. The third... hmm. Shame about the railings in the 1st.
All the spider shots seem a little off (OOF?). They've got a certain spookieness about them?
 
1st 2 of the macaw are awesome !!

The spiders, not so good in my opinion, and I'm a spider lover !! They're just a bit bland.

Keep at it though,
 
thank you for your replys. i'd agree on the second photo. i think its the brightness of the feathers that makes it look nicer.

sorry to upset you with the spiders! lol...
