Was intrigued by what i saw on here, so thought i would give it a go.
Was fairly happy with these, i know they are not perfect, few blotches on the background etc (will deal with those later). c and c welcome if it helps me imrove:D Always trying to learn, even at my age:)





 
#2 and #3 you have better light than I got on my attempt and they look fab to me :) #2 looks like vertebrae on an x-ray (sort of)

I'm going to have another go myself but waiting till I'm 100% as asthma and smoke don't really mix too well :LOL:
 
second ones my fav....really nice!

the first one seems lil bit OOF ....can imagine it being hard to focus on though.

Nice images for a first go(y)
When I shot smoke I used 1/200 f11-16 and iso 100-200 with off camera flash. Changing the orientation to portrait was good too;) HTH
 
Had a little play with ps elements and added a bit of colour, i kind of like this one best out of some 190 odd, think it is just the simplicity of it.

 
Number 3 my fave (y), and the 4th one you posted is excellent :)

Seriously though, these are all gorgeous. I particularly love no. 2 - another reason to keep 'gasping' :LOL:
